Description

Briar Hill Farmhouse dates from the mid-19th century and was constructed in a revised vernacular style. It is a two-storey building with coursed rubble walls and a hipped slate roof. The farmhouse features two irregular chimneys with moulded capping and three windows, each a glazing bar sash with drips. A band runs across the ground floor. A central doorway is topped with a lozenge-shaped overlight. The rear elevation has two storeys and a four-window range, while the north gable displays a tablet inscribed "Rebuilt by John Rodd Griffiths 1846."
