Description
The wall and gate piers to number 71, which front Pittville Lawn and Central Drive, were built around 1838. The wall is made of reddish brick and features offset buttresses topped with ashlar caps. There are two pairs of octagonal ashlar gate piers. The wall is also pierced by a lancet arcade. This structure is an important element of the setting for number 71, which is designed in a matching Tudor Gothic style.
