Description
Northfield Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was repaired and extended in 1827. It is constructed of rough ashlar with a stone tile roof featuring coped verges and saddlestones. The south front has one bay and a three-window extension from 1827. The building is two storeys tall and includes two- and three-light casement windows, which have segment-headed arches in the 1827 section. There is a gabled porch located to the left of the centre. The gable end on the west side features a range of mullion windows. To the north, there is a T-plan extension with a dormer and an ashlar chimney that has a moulded capping. A ground floor gable end window displays graffito reading 'GS June 27th 1817'. The interior has not been inspected.
