Description
The gatepiers, gates, and railings located to the southeast of South Lodge were built around the late 1860s for Henry Bradshaw of Lifton Park, likely at the same time as the adjacent South Lodge. The gatepiers are made of rusticated stone and granite, featuring a rectangular section with chamfered plinths and corners. They are topped with moulded granite caps that have ball finials. The iron railings and the pair of carriage gates are designed with verticals of circular section that end in urn finials above the top rail. A frieze of linked ovals is present between the two middle rails. These structures are included for their group value with South Lodge.
