Description
The structure consists of a wall, gatepiers, and a gate, built in 1867 for Henry Bradshaw of Lifton Park. It is contemporary with the nearby lodge to Lifton Park, known as Hornapark. The wall is made of rusticated stone with granite dressings and features iron gates. It has a U-shaped plan, with chamfered square-section gatepiers set on granite plinths, topped with moulded granite caps and finials. The corner and end piers of the wall also have moulded caps and finials, although one is missing. The iron gates have vertical bars that extend above the top rail, ending in spiked finials. One corner pier displays the initials "H B 1867" in granite lettering on its cap. This structure is included for its group value with Hornapark.
