Description

Nos 55 and 56 on West Street are an early 19th-century pair of buildings that stand three storeys tall. The upper floors are covered in slate hung in an unusual pattern of large and small vertical courses, while the ground floor is finished in stucco. The buildings have a slate roof and feature two sash windows that retain their glazing bars, along with two simple doors. They are noted for their distinctive slate hanging.
