Description
Green Cottage is a small house dating from the early 18th century, which has been altered and extended in the 20th century. It features plastered cob and rubble walls with joint-lining in some areas and has a gable-ended thatch roof. Originally designed with a two-room plan and a central entrance, it was later subdivided into two cottages before being converted back into a single dwelling. The house has 19th and 20th century single-storey additions at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows, featuring 20th century three-light casements with small panes on the first floor. The central part of the facade projects slightly and is accented with rusticated plaster quoins. There are slight eyebrows in the thatch above the first-floor windows. The central entrance has a 20th century Tudor style door beneath a thatched door hood supported by wooden posts. Inside, there are no original features visible except for the wooden lintel above the fireplace.
