Description

This is a headstone dedicated to William Stenlake, located 2.5 metres south of the chancel of the parish church. It dates from 1758 and is made of slatestone, featuring a shouldered nowy head. The inscription is well engraved in lower case lettering with serifs. Above the inscription is a winged angel's head, and the verse reads: "Weep not for me my loving Wife Since I'm but Call'd from this vain life Divided by Death we must remain Till we in Heaven meet again."
