Description

The Rockery and Grotto, built around 1810 for the 6th Duke of Bedford, is an important part of the picturesque landscape surrounding Endsleigh House. Constructed from stone rubble, it features a large rockery that includes a central pond, surrounded by a network of paths and steps. One flight of steps descends into a serpentine grotto, which has rustic stone walls, a barrel vaulted roof, and a floor made of small cobbles.
