Description

Wayside Cottage and the warehouse, located at No. 138 on Mill Street, date from the early 19th century. The warehouse, built of stone rubble, is three stories high and features three windows, with central openings that are doorways and side openings that are either louvred lights or windows. To the left, there is a small lower wing that is part of the block with Wayside Cottage. Wayside Cottage is two stories tall, finished in plaster with a whitened appearance, and has three sash windows with exposed frames. The forecourts or pavement in front are cobbled and sit somewhat higher than the road. Nos 134 to 138 and Wayside Cottage are recognized as a group.
