Description

The walls enclosing the garden, located about 10 meters east of Cleverdon House, date from 1869. They are constructed of random rubble using local stone and feature humpback coping with slate offsets. The walls form a roughly square area of about half an acre with curved corners, and there is an entrance on the west front that faces the house. The walls rise to the corners and include full-height buttresses on the south front that faces the road. The west front has buttresses flanking a central gable entrance, which features a circular date stone inscribed with "1869" and a round-headed doorway with a plank door.
