Description

The Seagate Hotel is a 2-storey building from the 18th century, located on The Quay in Appledore. It features a stucco front that faces the Quay and has three windows. The hotel has a central stucco doorcase from the mid-19th century, which is adorned with a cornice supported by enriched consoles. The building includes rusticated quoins and a ground floor, along with a moulded cornice and a parapet. Sash windows with glazing bars are present on the south return face. The front garden railings have been removed, leaving only an ornamental cast iron gate on the right. The Seagate Hotel is part of a group of listed buildings on The Quay.
