Description
Ye Champion of Wales is a building located on Meeting Street in Appledore. It dates from the early 18th century and features a painted brick front that reflects Dutch architectural influence. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has three first-floor windows. The flat-fronted bow window and the ogee door-hood are likely early 19th-century additions, possibly based on earlier designs. The first-floor sash windows originally had segmental heads and keystones but have since been altered to casements. The building also has a moulded eaves cornice, and the dormer showcases 19th-century Gothic details. All the listed buildings on Meeting Street are part of a group.
