Description

Rock House is a late 18th century or early 19th century building located on The Quay in Appledore. It is a two-storey structure with a three-window stucco front that faces Marine Parade, set back behind a garden. The ground floor features rusticated detailing and a moulded eaves cornice. The roof is hipped and covered with slate. The building has sash windows with glazing bars, and the first floor includes window box guards. The doorcase is adorned with Doric columns and a mutular entablature, along with a fanlight above. There is a one-storey garage wing that has a splayed bay and Venetian windows, with one window facing The Quay. All the listed buildings in The Quay form a group.
