Description

The buildings at 13-19 Irsha Street form a range of 17th and 18th century origins, with later alterations. Numbers 13, 15 and 17 comprise a two-storey, five-window range rendered in stucco and painted. A substantial stone chimney, featuring drips and capping, is centrally located, with an added brick shaft above. The first floor has four casement windows; number 17 features a sash window with exposed frames. The ground floor has four sash windows with exposed frames, now fitted with side glazing bars. Number 15 has a recessed entrance with a small cornice and consoles, leading to a six-panel door set within a wooden case, displaying incised line ornament to the pilasters. Number 17 has a similar six-panel door with a smaller, altered cornice and consoles. A first-floor band runs along the facade. Number 19, known as Irsha Cottage, dates from the 18th or early 19th century, also with alterations. It has two first-floor sash windows with exposed frames and side glazing bars, and a six-panel door within a wooden case featuring fluted pilasters and panelled reveals. The listed buildings collectively contribute to the group value of Irsha Street.
