Description

This is a former font base, now serving as a garden ornament, located approximately 7 metres southeast of Trevilla. It likely dates from the 14th or 15th century and is made of granite. The structure features a square base and a large octagonal socket with a cavetto-moulded top and spurs at the corners. This font base probably originated from nearby Woolleigh Barton, which has a chapel from the same period. It was likely relocated to its current position in the late 19th or early 20th century, and there is a possibility that the rest of the font still exists.
