Description

The terrace at 44-50 Irsha Street, Appledore, is likely from the early 19th century and comprises a two-storey building with nine first-floor windows, two of which are blank. The front is rendered in colourwashed stucco. Number 44 features a six-panel door within a wooden case, decorated with incised line ornamentation on the pilasters and a bracketed entablature. Numbers 48 and 50 have coupled arched entrances topped with radial-bar fanlights. A wooden dentil eaves cornice runs along the roofline, and a moulded band defines the first floor. The six-panel doors at each property also feature panelled reveals. Glazing bars remain visible in the windows of number 46. The buildings form a group with others along Irsha Street.
