Description

This is a chest tomb dating from the mid-18th century, located about 9 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in Kenn. It is made of volcanic trap stone and features a moulded cornice with a freestone lid. The inscription on the lid commemorates Simon Tanner, who was buried in 1747.
