Description

The Ley family chest tomb, located about 37 metres north of the stair turret of the Church of St Andrew, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from freestone and features a panelled sarcophagus with a coped lid. The sides of the tomb bear various inscriptions commemorating members of the Ley family, with the earliest memorial dating to 1850.
