Description

This is a headstone commemorating Maria Palmer, located about 6 metres north of the tower of the Church of St John the Baptist in Bishopsteignton. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The headstone is rectangular with concave corners and features reeded moulding. The inscription is well-lettered and honors Maria Palmer, who died in 1824.
