Description

This is a group of four sarcophagi located about 7 meters northwest of the tower of the Church of St Catherine of Alexandria. They date from the early to mid 19th century and are made of freestone. Each sarcophagus has a semi-circular profile, featuring round-headed headstones and smaller stones at the foot, which are inscribed with initials and dates ranging from 1812 to 1856. This collection of tombs presents an interesting historical feature near the church.
