No. 36 The Strand is an early 19th century house that was altered in the mid-19th century. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior. The building features a parapet and a modern pantiled roof, with two windows: one is a sash window with intact glazing bars, and the other is a three-light bay window. The ground floor has a 19th century shop front unit with pilasters. The original doorcase is notable, featuring a cornice, pilasters, a decorative fanlight, and a six-panelled door.
