Description
Woodhaye is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior and a low-pitched hipped slate roof with deep eaves. The house has two storeys and a basement, with three bays. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set in plain stuccoed architraves, with shaped blind cases. The central doorway on the ground floor is flanked by pilasters and leads to French windows that open onto a verandah. This verandah has a tented zinc roof supported by thin iron posts and features a central flight of steps. The wooden balustrade of the verandah is from the 20th century. There are basement sashes located beneath the verandah, and the right-hand return has two bays. A brick chimneystack is positioned at the left-hand end of the house. Woodhaye is situated on rising ground above the River Erme.
