Description

Marlborough Lodge is an early 19th-century house set back from the road with a small forecourt. It is a double-fronted building with three windows and a slightly projecting central entrance bay. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and features a moulded stack. The front of the house is stuccoed, with a cornice and blocking course. The ground floor is rusticated, and there is a plain band marking the first floor. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows have side lights. The recessed doorway has a cornice head, a patterned rectangular fanlight, side lights, and a raised and fielded panel door.
