Description
This is a pair of gate piers located about 200 metres southeast of Weirdown, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from slate rubble and feature dressed granite caps and finials. The gate piers are square in plan and stand on plinths, all made of slate rubble. They have dressed slate cornices and granite caps with concave necking, topped with large granite ball finials. The southern pier has been repaired with brick at the top. A 20th-century wooden gate is not included in the listing.
