Description
This is a watermill located immediately south of Beenleigh, dating from around the mid-19th century, as it does not appear on the 1840 tithe map. The building is constructed from local slate and other local stone rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof that has half hipped ends. It has a square plan and has been reduced in height to three storeys. The original window openings feature flat stone arches, now fitted with 20th-century casements. There are external stone stairs leading to a raised doorway, and another doorway provides access to the first floor from a higher ground level at the rear. The mill's machinery and wheel have been removed. It is situated next to stables to the east and a barn to the northwest.
