Description

This is an early 19th century town house located on the South Side of High Street. It is a three-storey, double-fronted building with five windows. The roof is hipped and covered in Welsh slate, featuring projecting boxed-out eaves and rendered stacks. The front of the building is plastered with plain bands indicating the floor levels. It has a plinth. The sash windows are slightly recessed and have exposed boxing and glazing bars. The second floor has three blind windows, while the ground floor windows retain side lights and plain surrounds. The entrance features a good wooden doorcase with pilasters supporting an open pediment with a dentil cornice. The doorway is round-arched and contains a patterned fanlight and a raised and fielded eight-panel door. The interior includes an early 19th century staircase, and the ground floor front room has a plaster dentil cornice.
