Description

Butterwell is a building located approximately 50 metres north of Lower Farleigh, likely dating from the 19th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble and has a roof made of one piece of slate laid flat. The building is square in shape and features a doorway at the front, although the door itself is missing. Inside, the walls are lined with slate shelves. Butterwell is situated by a small stream in a field immediately northeast of Lower Farleigh farmhouse.
