Description

The Woolway gravestone, located approximately 5 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of the Holy Trinity, dates from 1820 and is made of slate. It features a straight-headed design with twin incised semi-circular arches. Above the arches, there is an inscription that reads, "I trust I shall see the Lord/In the Land of the Living." The left side of the gravestone is inscribed with the name of William Woolway, who died in 1829, while the right side includes inscriptions for Charity Woolway, who died in 1834, and Thomas Woolway, who died in 1820.
