Description

The Dee chest tomb, located approximately 6 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of All Saints, is a Grade II listed structure. It dates from 1735 and 1737 and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a cyma-recta moulded cornice on its flat top. On the south side, there are two lightly-incised panels with shaped heads. The inscriptions commemorate John Dee of Lower Fyldon, who died on 19th January 1735, and his son Thomas Dee, who passed away on 17th March 1737.
