Description
Fullabrook Barton is a large farmhouse, likely dating back to the 16th century, although it has been significantly altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior is colourwashed render over roughly coursed rubble, with a slate roof and gable ends. The building has a T-shaped plan, with a right-angled extension added in the 17th or early 18th century, creating an F-shaped plan. A further extension was added to the lower end in the 20th century. Rubble stacks with inward-sloping caps are present at each end; the left stack has offsets, and a large lateral stack to the rear is now enclosed within two short, gable-ended projections, both two storeys high. The facade features a lower range to the left, with 20th-century casements on each floor. A half-glazed door is situated to the left of a porch with a lean-to slate roof, and a half-glazed door at the end of the main range. The main range has timber sash windows: six panes above six panes to the left, and two panes above eight panes to the right, next to a 3-light 20th-century casement. Above the off-centre half-glazed door with two leaves, there are sashes with eight panes per sash on either side. The interior has been entirely altered.
