Description
The shippon and barn, located approximately 5 metres east of Penberthys Farmhouse, date from the 19th century. They are constructed from unrendered stone rubble and feature slate roofs. The building forms an L-shaped range, with a two-storey barn section that has a first-floor stable door accessed by external stone steps to the left of a segmental arched cart entrance. At the left end, there is a lean-to with a loft door above the stable door, which is situated to the left of a two-light window. Extending at right angles from the front right end of the barn are single-storey shippons, which have two-light windows flanking two stable doors, with a loft door positioned above.
