Description
This range of farm buildings, located approximately 35 metres north of Wellesley Farmhouse, includes stables and shippons with lofts above. The structure likely has elements from the 17th century but was remodeled in the 19th century. It is built from stone rubble and features a double Roman tile roof with two different heights and gable ends. The buildings are rectangular in shape, with the stables located at the lower end. There is a loft door above a plank door at the left end, and two plank doors on the right, with the lower door having an infilled loft opening above that includes part of a row of pigeon holes. A wide opening rises to full height and is flanked by ventilation slits on each floor at the upper end. The roof trusses were replaced in the 20th century.
