Description
Little Pillhead Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier farmhouse that is now used for holiday accommodation. It is constructed of rendered stone and cob, topped with a thatched roof featuring gable ends and brick stacks. The farmhouse has a front lateral hall stack with slated offsets and a tall brick shaft. It follows a three-room through-passage plan and is two storeys high, with a three-window range. The windows are 2-light casements with six panes per light; all ground floor windows are 2-light casements with six panes, except for the hall window, which has three panes per light. A slate pentice roof covers the porch, which has a six-panelled door leading to the through-passage doorway. At the rear, there is a continuous stone rubble outshut, partially covered with a slate roof and partially with corrugated iron. The interior has not been inspected.
