Description
This building is a barn and stables, likely dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of stone and cob, topped with a pantiled roof that has gable ends. The structure is rectangular in shape and features an integrated barn and stables, with lofted stables at one end.
On the east side, there are old plank double doors, and the opposing cart entrance at the rear has been infilled. A triangular owl hole can be found at the lower gable end. The stables on the west side include a loft door above a plank door, with a four-paned window to the right. The western half of the original roof structure remains intact, showcasing principals with short curved feet, two tiers of trenched purlins, and mortice holes in the soffits of the blades for collars that have since been removed.
