Description

Bremridge is a 17th-century building, dated 1654, located in Filleigh. It is the remaining part of a much larger house, with the L-wing now in ruins. The structure has two storeys and attics, constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof and large stone stacks. The front features five stone mullioned windows and a heraldic achievement above a four-centred stone arch, which also includes a 17th-century studded door made of three planks. The rear elevation boasts an elaborate 17th-century doorcase. Inside, there is a large spine beam and a stone chimneypiece.
