Description
Woolley Lodge is a small gate lodge located 1600 metres south-west of Arlington Court in Arlington Parish. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stucco with banded rustication and a slate roof. The building has a cruciform single-storey plan with a central stack and features a neoclassical design with a symmetrical facade.
The central projecting porch is supported by a pair of columns in antis and flanked by square pilasters. It has a half-glazed door with three panes and glazed margins. Above the porch, there is a deep cornice with a blocking course and a stepped stone parapet that includes a blind panel. On either side of the porch, there are casements with a fish-scale design in each bay. The east and west ends have similar single casements and porch surrounds, also featuring pairs of square columns in antis. The entrance steps are designed to reflect the stepped parapet.
