Description
The entrance gates, gate piers, and adjacent walls to the park at Castle Mound were likely built in the mid-19th century. They feature a pair of cast-iron gates adorned with scrollwork and the town arms. The gates are mounted between square stone rubble piers topped with stepped pyramidal caps. From these piers, stone rubble quadrant walls with chamfered rendered copings extend outward to two additional piers.
