Description

Bank Cottages is a house dating from the 19th century, constructed of white-washed rubble stone and cob with slate roofs. The roof features clay ridge tiles and gable ends. A brick stack is situated at the left gable end, and a large rear lateral stack includes slated offsets and a tall brick shaft. The house follows a two-cell through-passage plan.

The two-storey facade has a three-window arrangement. The windows are 19th-century casements, with three lights on the left and two lights to the right, each light containing six panes. A slates canopy covers the porch, which has a 20th-century door and a small four-paned casement to its right, both flanked by two three-light casements. A corrugated asbestos roof covers a rear outshut. Inside the hall, there is a scroll-stopped beam. An 18th-century doorway with fielded panels is located to the left of the cross-passage, and an original plank door with a latch remains in the rear of the cross-passage.
