Description

Osborne House, also known as No. 12, is a semi-detached pair of houses that appear as a single composition. Built in the 18th century, the houses are constructed of stucco with a slated roof and rise to two and three storeys. The façade features three windows along with a single-window recessed extension on the right-hand side. The central bay projects forward and has a later ground floor extension. The entrances are plain and square-headed, with part-glazed doors leading to both the projecting bay and the recessed extension. The windows are primarily 12-pane hornless sashes, except for the first floor flanking the central bay, which has 18 panes. A moulded eaves cornice breaks forward at angles, suggesting pilaster capitals. The interior has not been inspected. Notable subsidiary features include the garden front entrance of No. 12, which has a door with six fielded panels and a radial bar fanlight. Additionally, there is an attached garden wall made of rendered stone, featuring square piers topped with vases. These two houses are an important feature of Holy Trinity Churchyard.
