The Reed headstone, dated 1817, is located approximately 12 metres south of the tower of the Church of St Matthew in Coldridge. This headstone commemorates John Reed and is made of slate. It is an upright slab that stands about 1 metre high, featuring a flat top with stepped corners. The inscription is carved in upper and lower case Roman serif letters, detailing the death of John Reed in 1817.
