Description
The South Gate and adjoining railings to the churchyard of the Church of All Saints are likely linked to the 1879 renovation of the church. The gate features beerstone posts and cast iron railings set into Hamstone ashlar coping over low stone rubble walls. The gateway is slightly set back from the street. It includes square section posts with moulded caps and a wrought iron lamp holder with scrollwork above double gates made of spear-headed rails. Quadrant walls extend from each gatepost to connect the boundary railings to the street front. The main standards of the railings have globular heads, while the remaining sections are plain.
