Description
Two ranges of farm buildings, dating from around the mid-19th century, are located west of Raddon Court. They are likely built at the same time as the house. Constructed from local volcanic stone rubble and topped with slate roofs, these buildings form two sides of a large courtyard farmyard. The south range has mostly disappeared, but the west and north ranges remain intact.
The west range features a threshing barn at the south end, with a roof that extends over a central cart entrance and a lofted area to the north. The threshing barn has a pair of large double doors on the west side, flanked by stone cheeks. The lofted section of the west range includes eight ground floor openings with segmental stone arches and two loft loading doors. The north range also has a loft and contains ten ground floor openings with segmental stone arches, along with seven first floor openings, three of which are glazed.
These buildings are included for their group value with Raddon Court.
