Description
Dalleys Cottages are two cottages, likely built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from plastered cob on rubble footings, with rubble stacks topped by 19th-century brick, and feature a thatched roof. The cottages have a mirrored layout on either side of a party wall, each consisting of two rooms: a small unheated middle room and a larger outer room, both heated by stacks that project from the gable ends and include oven projections. The buildings are two storeys high and have a symmetrical front with four windows, featuring identical late 19th to early 20th century three-light casements with glazing bars. Each cottage has two windows and a central door, which is sheltered by a hipped thatch-roofed hood. Inside, the carpentry details are plain, and the internal crosswalls of plain framing are exposed in some areas.
