Description

Creedy Bridge Cottage is a small cottage likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It’s constructed from plastered cob and rubble with brick, featuring a chimney shaft and a thatched pyramid roof. The cottage exhibits characteristics of the Picturesque style. Originally a single-room cottage, it now has two rooms deep facing the northwest. A stack is located on the northeast side, and a monopitch thatched roof extends outwards on the right side. It is two storeys high. The front elevation has one late 18th or early 19th-century window, with square-mullioned windows on both the ground and first floors, equipped with 2-light iron casements containing 20 small rectangular leaded panes per light. A door is situated to the right. Most windows on the other sides have been replaced, although some original late 18th or early 19th-century 2- and 3-light casements survive on the left and rear sides and have been reglazed. The interior was not inspected.
