Description

This is a square enclosure of low iron railings surrounding a granite cross, located about 15 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. The railings were made in the late 19th or early 20th century and are set on a polished granite plinth, which is signed by J Stemson of Tiverton. The railings feature a Gothic design with standards at the corners and the center of each side, topped with crocketted finials. The polished granite cross has a memorial date from the early 20th century.
