Description
This building is a granary and cartshed located approximately 25 metres south-south-west of Town Living Farmhouse. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is constructed of whitewashed plastered cob with a corrugated iron hipped roof. The structure has a rectangular plan, consisting of a single cartshed with two rooms above, and is two storeys high. The ground floor at the north-west end features an open-ended cartshed, while above it, there is a jettied plastered stud wall with a small window. A similar window is located on the first floor at the opposite end. External stone steps lead to a loft door on the north-east side facing the road. Inside, the first floor has a plastered wall for the granary and a plank partition that separates it from the apple store, which includes wooden racks. The original roof structure appears to be intact.
