Description

This is a headstone located approximately 6 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St Matthew in Coldridge. It dates from around 1837 and commemorates two young brothers, both named Rowland Hooper, and is signed by Howell. The headstone is an upright, square-headed slab that stands about 1.2 meters high. It features a three-line frame, within which the inscription is presented in upper and lower case Roman serif letters, recording the death of the first Rowland in 1833 and the second in 1837.
