Description

The Law Library is a two-storey hall located in Cathedral Close, dating back to the 15th century. It features a rebuilt gallery over the screens and boasts a fine three-bay hammerbeam roof with moulded timbers, carved bosses, and angels on the hammerbeams. This building has always been associated with legal activities, and it is possible that the hall served as an ecclesiastical court. The listed buildings in Cathedral Close are recognized as a group.
