Description
The Crown and Sceptre Public House is an early 19th-century building located in Iron Bridge. It features attractive red brick construction with stucco bands and stands two stories tall with five windows across the front. The ground floor is finished in stucco, and the entrance is highlighted by a fanlight and Ionic pilasters. The first-floor sash windows are adorned with pediments, with the central window supported by console brackets. The ground floor windows have segmental heads, with one displaying decorative glazing bars while the others are plain sashes with glazing bars. To the right, there is a 19th-century bar frontage. The building is topped with a cornice, a parapet, and a slate roof. The Crown and Sceptre Public House is part of a group of listed buildings in Iron Bridge.
